Please note we were recently contacted by a homeowner who owns a Continental Home, with an interior fireplace. The homeowner was doing repairs to his home, and his contractor found that the bare studs behind the fireplace were not to code and could pose a risk for fire.  The homeowner requested the Association inform others who own Continental Homes to consider having their fireplace and fireplace cavities properly inspected by a licensed and insured contractor to determine whether proper fire resistant materials were incorporated with the home.
