MPR Rec #2 Eucalyptus Observation

Removal of an old and dying Eucalyptus tree at recreation center 2 – Picture attached along with two (2) Tree Arborist Reports

Just thought you should know:

We have a really old and large dying Eucalyptus tree at recreation center 2 near the tennis courts on the common area where people walk their pets, play frisbee, picnic, etc. We have been carefully watching this tree for a while because our MPRHOA Arborist has told us it’s slowly dying and has been infested with bores. Our last option is always removal and unfortunately this one is on the list. Please note, our MPRHOA arborist is a “tree hugger” and has been doing everything to save this tree, however it’s gotten to the point where limbs are starting to fall off and half the tree is now dead, creating a liability and we don’t want anyone to possibly get injured from falling debris. In an effort to cover all bases, we commissioned another arborist (who happens to live in this area) in order to get a second opinion before removal and that arborist states the same as our MPRHOA arborist. See attached reports from both Arborist. At this point we need to remove the tree, but will plant another tree or even two more trees in its place in an effort to replenish the area.
